Northern Maine Community College offers online courses to provide students with additional opportunities for independent learning. All communication between instructors and students takes place online, and classes and assignments are accessible 24/7.
These courses are held to the same high academic standards as our on-campus offerings and are taught by our highly qualified instructors. Online learning is a smart choice for students who are self-disciplined and need flexibility in their schedule.

WELCOME TO NMCC ONLINE
This page provides information for NMCC students who are already enrolled in online courses.
If you are interested in taking an online course or learning what courses are available online, visit the NMCC course listing, complete the online form, and select online from the campus options.
For NMCC students registered for online courses:
All online courses should be available on the first day of classes. Your instructor will provide details regarding the work schedule for each course. Weekly assignments will be posted and you should complete each week’s assignments at your convenience. It is important to your success to complete all assignments in a timely fashion and to submit them on or before the date due. This is especially important to keep you on track and to ensure that discussion assignments are meaningful to all.
Please note that courses will not be available before the first day of classes as instructors will be busy making final adjustments to their courses. There is no advantage in logging in before the date.
Books: Books for all classes are available at the NMCC Bookstore. Please stop in or contact the bookstore at 207-768-2715. The bookstore hours are usually 8am-3:30 pm on weekdays. Please obtain your books before the first day of classes to be sure you are ready to start your classes.
