Community Paramedicine

NMCC Community Paramedicine Program

Community Paramedicine

Expand your opportunities, advance your license and make a difference in your community through advanced paramedicine training.

Advance your role in health care

The Community Paramedicine program is designed to educate licensed paramedics, who are primarily employed in the pre-hospital emergency environment, to become competent community paramedics.

Students learn to perform needs assessments and assist in the development of community paramedicine initiatives that meet very specific and individualized community needs.

Community paramedics play an increasingly important role in expanding access to health care, improving patient outcomes and supporting underserved populations.

Flexible pathways for working paramedics

Paramedics who have already earned an associate degree or higher in any field may enroll directly into the advanced certificate level of the program.

Candidates who have not yet earned an associate degree may be considered for either the associate degree or entry-level certificate pathway.

This flexibility allows working EMS professionals to continue advancing their education while building on existing clinical experience.
