Train for a hands-on automotive career
NMCC’s Automotive Collision Repair program is the only post-secondary auto collision repair program in northern New England.
The program provides broad fundamental training in the repair of collision damage, frame straightening and the replacement of body panels. In advanced level classes, students focus on major collision appraisal and repair, along with the auto body refinishing process. Instruction includes hands-on experience in the painting process.
Program certification
The Automotive Collision Repair program meets the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence standards of quality for the training of collision repair and refinishing technicians.
The program is ASE certified in structural analysis and damage repair, non-structural analysis and damage repair, plastics and adhesives, and painting and refinishing.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the Automotive Collision Repair program may find entry-level employment opportunities with auto body and paint shops, new and used car dealers, auto glass shops and truck body builders.
