Akeley Student Center
The Akeley Student Center celebrated its grand opening in July, 2014. Thanks to a generous gift from philanthropist Mary Smith, NMCC students now have a bright, inviting place to meet, study, eat and spend time between classes.
The Akeley Student Center (named after Smith’s parents) houses the health center, lounge, security office and the new College Store complete with a snack bar.
Honoring the history of NMCC as the site of the Presque Isle Air Base during WWII, the College is working to complete a display of artifacts from the Presque Isle airport museum in the hallway and throughout the Center.
The community is cordially invited to utilize the Center for social interaction and wellness activities.
