The safety and security of our students, employees, and patrons is our top priority.
If you are involved in an actual emergency, call 911, then notify 207-540-5719 as soon as it is safe to do so.

NMCC sends emergency alerts and campus closure notifications through RAVE Alert.
Currently enrolled students are automatically opted in to receive alerts at their mainecc.edu email address and primary mobile number. Active employees are automatically opted in to receive alerts at their mainecc.edu email address.
To update your contact information or change your alert preferences, log in to RAVE Alert using your mainecc.edu account credentials.
NMCC’s Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (BIT) Team identifies, assesses, and responds to concerns involving the well-being or safety of students and the College community. The Team’s role is supportive and non-disciplinary.
Students and employees may use the College’s reporting form (found below) to share concerns involving, but not limited to, suicidal ideation, self-harm, threats to people or property, food insecurity, unstable housing, a significant deterioration in personal hygiene, or a meaningful decline in academic performance. To submit a concern, download and complete the form, then email it to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs & Retention athkierstead@mainecc.edu or dropping it off in person at the office of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs & Retention.
The Team gathers and assesses relevant information using an established risk-assessment rubric. When appropriate, the Team may coordinate non-punitive support, connect a student with College or community services, or refer a matter to another College official or process, including the Title IX Coordinator or the Student Code of Conduct process.
