Aroostook – Northern Maine Community College is pleased to announced that 15 students who have completed the practical nursing certificate program will be honored at a Pinning Ceremony on Saturday, December 14. The event marks the graduation of the first class of practical nurses from NMCC since launching the program earlier this year in response to healthcare industry needs. The pinning will be held in the Houlton High School Auditorium beginning at 1:00 pm.
The eight and one-half month training program was made possible through funding from the Maine Community College System and the following healthcare employers: Community Living Association, Danforth Habilitation Association, Houlton Regional Hospital, Madigan Health Care, Northern Light AR Gould, and Northern Light Home and Hospice.
