Machining student receives job offer and full tuition from GE Bangor

September 12, 2019

Presque IsleCameron MacCrae, a senior precision machining technology student at NMCC, received a full-time job offer and a year of tuition scholarship from GE Bangor after completing his summer internship, contingent on his graduation this spring. A representative from GE cited MacCrae’s proficiency as a machinist, mastery of training, attendance, and curiosity, as the qualities that earned him the offer. After completing his senior year, MacCrae will return to his native Bangor area and begin work. MacCrae first took interest in machining when he found an old machining chest belonging to his grandfather, who worked as a machinist for the Air National Guard.
