Critical Care Transport Training Beginning in January at NMCC

Presque Isle – LifeFlight of Maine and NMCC are providing advanced CCT training for area critical care nurses and paramedics beginning in January and enrollment is now open. For enrollment information please contact Holly Grant at (207) 768-2845 or nhgrant@nmcc.edu.

The program is designed to deliver training in advanced credential-focused topics, including “Universal” ACCT skills and procedures divided into Parts A – (Difficult Airway, RSI, Surgical Airway, Emergency Ultrasound Core Skills), B – Adult CCT (Airway, Ventilation, Cardiac, Medical, Pharmacology, Trauma, Behavioral, Indwelling device management, and Temperature management), and C – Pediatric and Peri-Natal/Obstetric CCT.

Part A will be delivered on January 14th, 15th, and 17th from 8-5 PM at NMCC’s campus. A full schedule for the 160 hours included in Parts B and C will be provided soon. Generally, classes will be held 4 days each month between January and June.

This training program is being provided AT NO COST to the employee/employer through funding provided by the LifeFlight Foundation through generous support from the Lunder Foundation and Linda and Diana Bean, as well as the MCCS Maine Quality Centers. Seating is limited to 20 students for Part A and 12 students for each of Parts B and C. Additional training cycles will be offered in the near future to accommodate the need.

This training will prepare the student for certification as a Critical Care Transport RN or Critical Care Transport Paramedic, with additional certifications and CEUs available for topics included in each section. Current certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or PHTLS required. Registration for the program is required.
