Train for your Commercial Driver’s License at Northern Maine Community College. Our 8-week Class A CDL program provides hands-on tractor-trailer training and prepares you for high-demand careers in commercial trucking across Maine and the Northeast.

October 27, 2026 NIGHT CLASSES
Full-Time Program, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
8-week program, Presque Isle campus

Full-Time Program, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost – Free for the October 27 & November 2 Cohorts
Tuition: $0 (Normally $6,495) classes are fully paid for through Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan funding.
Books: $100
Only 8 students are selected for each CDL training cohort through a competitive application process.
How to Apply
- Complete the online CDL application form and select your preferred start date
- Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule a Zoom interview
- Selected applicants will complete a drug test and DOT physical
- Final acceptance is based on eligibility requirements and application review
Please have your high school diploma or GED documentation and immunization records ready as part of the admissions process.
