enrolled in a program of study at NMCC may be invited to join Phi
Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two year colleges.
To maintain membership, the student member's cumulative grade point average
may not fall below 3.25. Phi Theta Kappa members receive leadership skills
developed through campus and community projects in addition to special

Student Senate
The Student Senate is the official student voice on campus. As such, the
greater the participation in the Senate, the greater the credibility of
its position(s). Senate members are representatives from each major program
of study. All students, whether or not they are Senate members, are encouraged
to attend Senate meetings.
