Student Health Center

The Health Center is located adjacent to the Akeley Student Center in 111 AK Christie Building.

A nurse practitioner is available for walk-in traffic or by appointment. Scheduled hours for the center are Monday – Friday 8 AM – 1 PM when the college is in session. Walk-in care (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM) other times by appointment (207-768-2804).
Although the health center is not intended to be or replace a student’s primary medical provider, a wide variety of services are available to students including, but not limited to: immunizations, screenings, titers, physical & sports examinations, medication prescriptions and more.

[Should the health center be closed due to illness, or for any other circumstance, students should seek emergency care at The Aroostook Medical Center. The college will not assume any financial responsibility for any student’s medical costs regardless of whether or not the campus health center is closed during scheduled hours.]

All students are required to provide immunization and other certifications as required by the State of Maine and their specific academic program of study.  The Health Center offers immunizations and other services required of academic programs offered at the College.  For more information, contact the health center.

The health center services are available to all NMCC students. Students who have purchased the College’s Student Health Insurance Plan will note that the Health Center is a Preferred Provider – a real cost savings.
