Athletic and Recreational Facilities
Students may use athletic facilities apart from the organized athletic programs. The equipment room, located off the gym and run by the athletic director, or designee, is generally open the same hours as the gym. (Facility hours are posted on the bulletin boards in Andrew Hall and across from the athletic director's office). You may sign out various athletic equipment. Be sure to have your ID. The facilities available are basketball courts, tennis courts and a racquetball court, free weights and weight machines, a treadmill, rowing machine and lifecycles.
Intercollegiate activities include golf, soccer, cross-country running, and ice hockey. NMCC is a member of -- the Yankee College Conference, and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. The golf, soccer, and cross-country running teams are conference members, the ice hockey and basketball teams compete on an independent basis. All men and women are encouraged to participate.
With the assistance of the athletic director, NMCC promotes leadership and physical health and wellness through intramural activities. Activities include strength training, basketball, softball, volleyball, foul shooting, three-on-three basketball, racquetball, tennis, and more. All men and women are encouraged to participate.
