Athletic and Recreational Facilities
Students may use athletic facilities apart from the organized athletic
programs. The equipment room, located off the gym and run by the athletic
director, or designee, is generally open the same hours as the gym. (Facility
hours are posted on the bulletin boards in Andrew Hall and across from
the athletic director's office). You may sign out various athletic equipment.
Be sure to have your ID. The facilities available are basketball courts,
universal weight room, tennis courts and a racquetball court.
Varsity
Intercollegiate activities include golf, soccer,
men's and women's basketball, ice hockey and skiing. NMCC is a member of the Northern Division of the Yankee College Conference.
The golf, soccer and basketball teams are conference members, and the ice hockey and skiing teams compete on an independent basis. Schedules and rosters are posted online as they become available. Varsity sports are co-educational and students are encouraged to try out regardless of gender.
Intramural
With the assistance of the athletic
director, NMCC promotes leadership and physical health and wellness through
intramural activities. Activities include basketball, softball,
volleyball, foul shooting, one-on-one, racquetball, tennis, and more. All
men and women are encouraged to participate.
