Northern Maine Community College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. The business technology department is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for the offering of its business programs that culminate in the associate in applied science degree, and the associate degree nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. The college is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges, the American Council on Education and the Maine Higher Education Council.
